Louisiana 11 - Rescued Jan 13

An unbelievable story: Dina got information that 9 TB's were sitting at a Louisiana kill lot marked "direct shipment" to Mexico. That means, they don't go up on the kill pen's website for bail, they go "hush hush" to Mexico for slaughter. Those are TB's, all young, all with racing plates still on. A huge undertaking. While waiting outside the kill pen for pick-up, our hauler was alerted about 2 more TB's in the direct ship pen. That's how the Louisiana 9 became the Lousiana 11.

TB 1 - Tag# 125 - he has a nasty head wound, but he'll be fine with some TLC.

TB 2 - Tag # 447 - a 5 year old mare

TB 3 - Tag # 344, 3 year old gelding with untreated cut on shoulder. Still with racing shoes.

TB 4 - 6 year old gelding

TB 5 - Tag # 126 - 6 year old gelding with racing shoes on and shaved legs from treatments forcing him to run through injury or hair loss from excessive steroidal/coristeriod use

TB 6 - 4 year old mare with whip marks across her back end and other scars across her body. Needs weight!

TB 7 - Tag # 397 - 5 year old gelding. Seems to be sound.

TB 8 - Tag # 353 - OTTB mare with shoes that needs weight. Timid and scared.

TB 9 - Tag # 392 - 2 year old!! He is still growing!

TB 10 - Tag # 592 - 6 year old mare, of the track with some back end soreness

TB 11 - Tag # 357 - 4 year old mare. Very nervous.
